You Are Enough

Updated: Nov 1, 2023

"But there was a difference between being stuck and choosing to stay. Between being found and finding yourself.

-Martina Boone

It's okay to get caught up in where you are stuck.

It's okay to forget that you have dreams.

Or that you have goals.

And sometimes other things end up taking priority for a season.

Life just ebbs and flows that way.

Hey YOU. It's okay that you felt a little down. Like the world is moving ahead without you.

Between kids, jobs, sports, family, house, there's so many things that can distract us and steer us off course. The climate we live in quietly whispers to some of us in order to be seen we must be living a loud, boisterous life, on a stage, in front of a crowd.

I imagine this may ring true for some of you. And if you're like me, the idea that other things are always more important than giving yourself permission to dream and set goals worth accomplishing towards your passions; getting derailed for a short amount of time may be the best thing that ever happens to you.

Derailments are just pit stops and pit stops are just pauses that bring you back to a path that wakes you up to a realization that there are dreams inside off you still wanting to be reached.

It's okay to get stuck. But just for a short while.

Becoming mindful and aware of the things that bring passion and drive are directly related to your sense of self.

Enjoying every moment and seeing the good, the bad, the hard, the pain of struggle and joy of success is part of your journey and that grows you into the person you want to become. Being ok with where life takes you takes practice.

Mindfully breathing for just a few minutes each day can help to slow down the monkey mind that tries pulls out of our present awareness. Sitting and noticing our patterns of thinking is called metacognition.

Metacognition is an awareness and understanding of one's own thought processes. It's taking a moment to notice where we feel stuck and allow it to pass.

Today, if you find yourself feeling stuck in a decision, a fear of making a change, or feel like you just don't have the time to step away from your current situation, give yourself 5 minutes to take a few deep breaths, notice your thoughts, and give yourself permission to just be and take the first right step to getting unstuck..
